The Railway Relay 2021

--- This year's event will be subject to covid restrictions at the time.  Scotland is expected to be at "level zero" by end of July ---

This is predominantly a for-fun event to raise money for local good causes, but competitive teams are more than welcome to come join us and tear up the trails.

How would you like to spend a day with team-mates running on a traffic-free trail route through quiet and scenic Scottish countryside?  Open to all abilities.  Run for pleasure or compete for the top spot against other female, male and mixed teams.

This event aims to be a fantastic day out for serious and fun-runners alike; all the while raising funds for good causes in the Ellon area.

The route follows the old railway line that runs between Peterhead and Ellon and goes through a number of small villages.  Runners can expect quiet trails, beautiful scenery and fast relay legs from around 2 to 4 miles each.  Check the "Information" page for details of the legs.

If that sounds good to you then get a team of 3, 4 or 5 together and sign up for The Railway Relay.

The proceeds of this year's event will be going to EPIC (Ellon Parks Improvement Committee).

EPIC is a constituted community group looking to improve the play parks in Ellon. It was first formed when two swing bays in Auchterellon park were condemned, with the council not having the budget to replace them.
